Manager Guide

For organisation Managers

Managers sit between org Admins and EROs. You coordinate elections across the organisation: creating them, organising them into folders, assigning returning officers, and keeping an eye on turnout, without touching org-wide billing, branding, or user access policy.

Manager accounts are created by an org Admin from the Users page, or when someone accepts an invite email with the Manager role.

What you can do

From the Elections page you can create new elections, clone existing ones, and arrange them in nested folders so a busy organisation stays navigable. On each election's details page you can assign EROs who will run that poll even if they did not create it.

When your Admin allows it, you can invite new EROs from the Users page, useful when a campaign needs more returning officers without waiting for Admin action on every hire. You can also view org usage and analytics to understand how many voters are being added across elections.

Working with EROs

Managers typically set up the structure; EROs run the live poll. A sensible split is: Manager creates the election shell and assigns the ERO; ERO completes ballot setup, sends magic links, monitors turnout, and publishes results. You can still open any election you have access to if you need to check status or reassign someone.

What Managers cannot do

Manager access deliberately stops short of org administration. You cannot change organisation tier, pricing settings, or vote-page branding. You cannot edit organisation settings such as whether EROs may create elections or whether Managers may invite EROs. Only an Admin can lock those rules. You also cannot cast ballots or view individual voter rankings, and you have no access to other organisations or the platform super-admin console.
